#GIFA2023 digital casting innovation highlights flashback: GF Casting Solutions Leipzig optimized the manufacturing process of complicated sand cores for hydraulic rotary transmissions, like the one shown below. The part originally consisted of 12 cores. By using the 3D binder jetting process on the S-Max machine, GF was able to merge all features into one single core. 3D printing improved the core quality and eliminated extensive core assembling.
