Designed for those who are looking for a machining centre that performs high speed milling, has a very high precision in turning operations and, at the same time, machines very large workpieces. With strokes up to 1,700 x 1,700 x 1,000 mm and a maximum swing of 1,600 mm in diameter, Ultrix E3 is the largest of all the rotary tilting machines.
The Ultrix series is ideal for milling and turning operations on medium-large workpieces in titanium and super alloy, steel, light alloys and special composites. Developed on gantry architecture with gantry type bridge movement, they are characterised by the rotary table and the independent turning bar.
The Ultrix range is composed of three models.
ULTRIX E1 -> X and Y strokes = 900 mm and Z stroke = 600 mm
ULTRIX E2 -> X stroke = 1.150 mm, Y stroke = 1.000 mm and Z stroke = 700 mm
ULTRIX E3 -> X and Y stroke = 1.700 mm and Z stroke = 1.000 mm
Ultrix E1, the smallest of the series, has X and Y axis strokes of 900 mm, while the Z stroke extends to 600 mm. It has a turning table with 700 mm diameter which reaches a maximum rotation speed of 1000 rpm/min and allows turning parts with a maximum diameter of 800 mm.
The rapid feedrate of the linear axes is 60 m/min for X and Y axes and 40 m/min for the Z axis.
It can be equipped with electrospindles from 37 to 55 kW reaching 137 Nm and an a maximum rotation speed of 40,000 rpm/min. The milling tools are HSK-A63 while the independent turning bar uses Capto C6 tools.
Ultrix E1 dimensions are 4,500 x 3,300 x 3,800 mm (W x H x L).
Ultrix E2 has the X axis stroke of 1.150 mm and the Y axis stroke of 1.000 mm, while the Z axis stroke extends to 700 mm. It has a turning table with 1.000 mm diameter which reaches a maximum rotation speed of 500 rpm/min e allows turning parts with a maximum diameter of 1.000 mm.
The rapid feedrate of the linear axes is 60 m/min for X and Y axes and 40 m/min for the Z axis.
It can be equipped with electrospindles from 37 a 85 kW reaching 480 Nm and a maximum rotation speed of 28.000 rpm/min. The milling tools can be both HSK-A63 and HSK-A100. The independent turning bar uses Capto C8 tools.
Ultrix E2 dimensions are 4.500 x 3.700 x 7.750 mm (W x H x L)
Ultrix E3 has the X and Y axes strokes of 1.700 mm, while the Z axis stroke extends to 1.000 mm. it can be equipped with a Direct Drive turning table up to 1.350 mm diameter with a maximum rotation speed of 500 rpm/min.
The rapid feedrate of the linear axes is of 50 m/min for X and Y and 40 m/min for Z axis.
It can be equipped with electrospindles from 37 to 85 kW reaching 600 Nm and a maximum rotation speed of 28.000 rpm/min.The milling tools can be both HSK-A63 and HSK-A100. The independent turning bar uses Capto C8 tools.
Ultrix E3 dimensions are 7.500 x 3.900 x 5.000 mm (W x H x L)
Pure multitask: the ideal solution for complex 3, 4 and 5 interpolated axis milling operations combined with other machining requirements as vertical and horizontal grinding and turning.
Maximum productivity: no workpiece repositioning is required for the various operations as milling, boring, tapping, turning and grinding various materials as superalloys (titanium, Inconel etc.) steel, aluminium, composites resulting in a drastic reduction in machine downtimes.
Maximum machine dynamics and quality: the Direct Drive technology incorporated into these machining centres and gantry drive ensure maximum machine performance and rigidity guaranteeing machining quality and precision.
Wide choice of automated solutions: with the automated pallet changeover system, automatic workpiece loading / unloading productivity is increased allowing for precise production planning and scheduling.
